NCBJ-ABI Roundtable #6: Does Law v. Siegel Really Stand for That?

Steve Gubner will be a panelist at “NCBJ-ABI Roundtable #6: Does Law v. Siegel Really Stand for That?” at the “pre-conference” of NCBJ’s 88th Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois. Steve’s panel will take place on September 29, 2015 and will address the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) case Law v. Siegel.

Early last year, the Supreme Court of the United States heard Law v. Siegel, the landmark case concerning a bankruptcy court’s power to protect the bankruptcy process from abuse.  In Law v. Siegel, Mr. Law forfeited the privilege of claiming a homestead exemption due to his attempt to retain non-exempt equity in his home.

Steve was counsel of record in Law v. Siegel.
