Jessica Bagdanov Successfully Represents Chapter 7 Trustee in Adversary Proceeding
Jessica Bagdanov successfully represented David Seror, chapter 7 trustee, in an adversary proceeding trial before United States Bankruptcy Judge Maureen Tighe in which she sought on the trustee’s behalf the revocation of the debtor’s discharge because of conduct occurring in the debtor’s bankruptcy case. After trial, Judge Tighe issued a decision for publication in which she revoked the debtor’s discharge under provisions of Section 727 of the Bankruptcy Code, in part based on the Debtor’s invocation of the 5th amendment privilege against self-incrimination and the negative impact such invocation had on the trustee’s efforts to investigate assets and liabilities of the estate.
