Alison Grabell Successfully Obtains Trademark Cancellation

Alison Grabell succeeded in obtaining cancellation of the federally registered HOODIES trademark.  The mark was cited as a bar to registration of the client’s HOODIEBUDDIE mark.  The proceedings were terminated on default judgment after three years of contentious proceedings at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.  Numerous procedural and discovery issues arose, requiring the involvement of the Interlocutory Attorney.  Despite several TTAB Orders, the registrant failed to comply and the client’s motion for entry of default judgment was granted.
