Jessica Bagdanov Named to Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal’s “Top Bankruptcy Lawyers” List

BG Law is pleased to announce that Jessica Bagdanov has been recognized in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal’s “Top Bankruptcy Lawyers” list for 2022. The award honors attorneys for their exemplary bankruptcy legal services, accomplishments, and contributions to the Los Angeles community.

Jessica was recognized for her representation of Chapter 7 and 11 trustees in state and federal litigation, including her recent case for Alliance Funding Group with over 15 named defendants. “Relatively speaking, I have a great deal of trial experience, having completed over 10 trials in my first 10 years of practice, all in bankruptcy court,” Jessica told the Daily Journal. “Trials are not particularly common in bankruptcy, so I feel fortunate to have had significant time in the courtroom to hone my trial skills.”

Jessica’s special profile in the Daily Journal also highlighted her work with the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum and the California Bankruptcy Forum, which are both committed to providing pro bono services for low-income and unrepresented people who need assistance navigating the bankruptcy system. “In addition, the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum has created a Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee that has acknowledged that the bankruptcy community needs to invest in younger attorneys to encourage a more diverse body of practitioners in the coming years,” Jessica explained. “I am hopeful that LABF can be a lighthouse for diversity, equity and inclusion issues in the bankruptcy community to encourage and mentor other local forums and law firms to invest in this critical issue.”
