Steve Gubner and Jeff Kobulnick Recognized as 2021 “Visionaries” by L.A. Times B2B Publishing Business of Law Magazine
BG Law is proud to announce that Steve Gubner and Jeff Kobulnick have been recognized in the L.A. Times B2B Publishing Business of Law Magazine as 2021 “Visionaries.” The award honors California attorneys who are at the top of their respective fields and have demonstrated noteworthy success during the past two years. Steve’s profile featured his work in bankruptcy and insolvency matters. The magazine said, “He is known in the insolvency arena as the ‘involuntary bankruptcy go-to lawyer’ because of his management of the sensitive issues surrounding involuntary bankruptcy filings and the general business advice he applies to navigate potential pitfalls and solve problems before they occur.”
Additionally, Jeff’s profile highlighted his accomplishments within the intellectual property arena: “His recent professional accomplishments include successfully obtaining shut-downs and transfers of two infringing domain names through Uniform Domain Name Resolution Policy proceeding before the World Intellectual Property Organization and obtaining a partial summary judgment in a plaintiff’s favor in a copyright infringement case involving the infringement of seven Christmas sweater designs. He also obtained a summary judgment on behalf of the defendants, a major national retailer, in a copyright infringement case, including an award of attorney fees. He represented a plaintiff in the amicable resolution of copyright infringement claims involving 18 allegedly infringing textile designs.”
