Ponzi Scheme Clawback Litigation Webinar

Corey R. Weber will be a panelist in the upcoming Strafford Publications webinar: Ponzi Scheme Clawback Litigation in Bankruptcy: Bringing or Defending Claims.  The webinar will take place on March 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. PST and will provide practitioners who represent bankruptcy trustees, investors and third parties with an overview of recent trends in clawback suits involving Ponzi schemes, theories of liability and effective defenses, and strategies for bringing and defending these claims.

Mr. Weber represents bankruptcy trustees, creditors, committees of unsecured creditors, assignees for the benefit of creditors and municipalities in contested matters and adversary proceedings in bankruptcy proceedings.  He frequently litigates fraudulent transfer and preference actions, breach of fiduciary duty suits, commercial collection suits and business and contract disputes.

In addition to Mr. Weber, the panelists include Anthony L. Paccione, a partner at Katten Muchin Rosenman in New York, New York, and Jesse S. Finlayson, a partner at Finlayson Williams Toffer Roosevelt & Lilly in Irvine, California.
